Dan O’Connor is SurfacePrep’s director of Production Services.
Earning a Bachelor of Science degree while working in a machine shop, Dan has been involved in the metalworking industry from manufacturing to distribution for over 40 years. Dan entered the surface finishing industry in the mid 1990’s leading national sales and marketing for the US branch of a global finishing equipment OEM. He founded the International Finishing distribution company in 1999 and later acquired Microfinish, a production finishing services company, serving as president of both companies from 2010. Dan has been in the surface preparation side of the industry for over 25 years while growing industry relationships across the US, Europe and Southeast Asia. As part of the SurfacPrep team, Dan maintains his customer and technology focus, working vertically across platforms as well as directs the newly forming SurfacePrep Production Services division.
