Mike Currie is Chief Executive Officer at SurfacePrep. He manages the executive team and oversees all enterprise growth. He joined the SurfacePrep family as an owner and General Manager at Grand Northern Products in 1997. In 2005, he and a partner, Mike Trotta, formed GNAP where they shared the leadership role as Co-Presidents. He was promoted to CEO in 2014.
After more than 20 years in the abrasives and ceramics industry, Mike has deep experience in management, operations, sales, M&A, and business integration. Under his leadership, SurfacePrep has grown to be the leading specialty distributor of consumable abrasive products, equipment and services for surface enhancement and specialty ceramics applications. Prior to entering the industrial abrasives industry, Mike worked in commercial banking at a predecessor to Fifth Third Bank.
Mike received his bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
