Katie Yang is the Chief Financial Officer at SurfacePrep. She leads the financial and accounting functions of the company, with primary financial reporting responsibility to the key stakeholders and BOD. Her responsibilities include managing financial controls and accounting procedures, overseeing operational and strategic initiatives, as well as, administering the company insurance needs, human resources function, and assisting with IT operations oversight. She also helps with acquisition processes and integration of new acquisitions.
Katie joined SurfacePrep family five years ago as the Corporate Controller for GNAP and held that position until she was promoted to CFO in 2016. Prior to joining SurfacePrep, Katie worked in public accounting for nine years. She began her career at Deloitte & Touche as an Audit Associate and then moved to Plante Moran where she held the position of Assurance Manager.
Katie received both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in accounting from Grand Valley State University and she is a registered CPA in Michigan.
