Meet Susan Conant, Operations Manager for GNP/AFT Division

Susan started working with the GNP Division as a summer intern in the accounting department after graduating high school. Shortly after, she became a full time employee. Her role moved from account payable entry and billing to order entry to consignment inventory management to inventory management. Then in 2018, she became the operations manager for SurfacePrep’s Byron Center, Michigan location.

What Susan appreciates the most about SurfacePrep is how the office feels more like a family environment. She also likes the close friendships she has now with the people she works with on a daily basis. “We truly have a good time every day which makes it a fun place to be,” Susan said.

Being an operations manager means handling plenty of curveballs thrown her way. Susan can be counted on to find creative solutions when issues arise. She is known to be able to come up with a way to work almost anything out when a customer or coworker needs assistance.

Outside of the office, Susan is busy with her family. She and her husband have 3 children, ages 1, 8, and 10. Most of her time is centered around the kids and home life. Her family enjoys spending time boating and spending time at their cabin in the summer months.
