Project Description

SurfacePrep People Rock!

Meet Scott Miller, a Territory Manager for Abrasive Products, a SurfacePrep Company.

“I have been blessed to work with Abrasive Products for the past 21 years,” Scott said.

What Scott appreciates most about SurfacePrep is the people he works with within the company. “This is a great group of people that is collectively focused on doing what is right for our customers.”

Scott enjoys the sense of teamwork that exists between his customers and coworkers. The relationship aspect of business still matters. Scott said that it is a great feeling when we are able to be a part of making our customers more efficient and productive in their respective manufacturing facilities.

“When our customers win because of a process or product improvement, we win as a company.”

“Scott is one of our hardest working sales reps,” Robert Hancock, General Manager of Abrasive Products and Vice President of Surface Enhancement, said. “Scott’s commitment to his customers and his outstanding work ethic are always appreciated by customers, vendors and colleagues.  Customers know that Scott will always be there for him.  He doesn’t just talk the talk.  He backs it up with his follow up, always making sure his customers are taken care of as they should be.”

This is clearly true, because recently one of Scott’s customers gave a vendor highlight on him. They said, “our relationship with Scott began as a walk-in potential vendor over two years ago. Who says the art of the cold call is dead? From that point on, Scott has assisted us in solving a wide array of issues. Vast product knowledge, impressive support, and a newly integrated VMI on our abrasives make this a great partnership.”

When asked about his life outside of work, Scott clearly adores his family. He and his wife, Sara, recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. “We have been blessed with 3 children: Victoria, Ethan, and Andrew. Scott has been an active coach in softball, baseball, basketball, and football, along with serving as the director of Upward Basketball and Cheerleading for the past 8 years in northeast Indiana. He enjoys running, fishing, slalom water skiing, and vacationing frequently with his family.
