Meet Amy Byington, Customer Service Representative

Amy began working with SurfacePrep two years ago this month. Prior to coming to SurfacePrep, Amy worked in accounting for over 13 years. She was given the opportunity to move into a different as a customer service and inside sales representative for our Atlanta office. Amy enters orders, creates quotes, supports the outside sales team, manages collections, completes credit applications, fills out vendor paperwork, and whatever else might pop up in the daily to-do lists. She appreciates the experience she has gained and looks forward to more.

Amy doesn’t just check off this to-do list, Amy looks for those opportunities to answer a customers questions or provide assistance that goes the extra mile. “It is especially satisfying when I can ‘complete the circle,'” Amy said. Even if the inquiry is something she isn’t familiar with yet, Amy will find the answer. By doing this, Amy has gained so much knowledge about our industry, products, and applications. “Every problem, every question, every situation can be a learning experience whether for me or the customer I am assisting,” Amy said.

One of Amy’s coworkers at the Atlanta office would agree. “She strives for success and it shows in her work ethic. Amy shows commitment and determination on a daily basis,” said Tim Daniels, Wheel Blast Manager.

When Amy isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family especially if they can get away for a weekend and go camping. “With all the new technology in our world, I love to turn it all off and just be in the moment, be with my family, no distractions. Just us and mother nature,” Amy said.
